How are Full Member dues calculated?
Full Membership dues are scaled to your company's annual turnover, in line with how most national industry associations structure dues. We'll confirm your band and provide an exact quote once we have your application details.
What's the difference between Full and Associate membership?
Full Membership is for businesses whose core activity is manufacturing or marketing natural health and supplement products — it carries voting rights at the AGM and on policy positions. Associate Membership is for businesses that support the industry without manufacturing or marketing their own product line, such as consultants, distributors, or equipment suppliers — it carries the same access to briefings and events, without a vote.
We operate in both Australia and New Zealand — do we need two memberships?
No. NAHFA membership is structured to cover both markets under one application and one set of dues, rather than requiring separate sign-up with a country-specific body. This is one of the reasons NAHFA exists — most associations in this space are single-market.
Does membership include input into regulatory submissions?
Yes. Full Members are represented directly in our engagement with Medsafe and the TGA, including on policy and technical working groups. This matters in particular for New Zealand members right now, with natural health product regulation actively being redrafted following the repeal of the Therapeutic Products Act — members get early visibility into how that process is shaping up.
